The hotel itself is very beautiful, it is authentically decorated in Greek island style and the atmosphere is wonderfully romantic. Patmos Island has to be the best island in the world. We have had one of the most restful holidays that we have ever had. The Porto Scoutari Hotel is beautifully sitauated, decorated, and appointed; and is run to extremely high standards. We have particularly enjoyed quiet days by the pool with its stunning views to the old town and to the sea. We have visited many Greek Islands over the years, and although Patmos does not have the archaeological sites that we like to visit, it is a very interesting and attractive island. My wife and I stayed at Porto Scoutari for four nights and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the people very friendly. The view was so beautiful and the room extremely large for an island hotel. The island has so much Christian history and being an Orthodox Christian just added to the experience.
